Master Data Solutions Consultant / Data Management (m/f/d)

RESPONSIBILITIES Our product team enables the digitalization of Master Data Management globally. We provide business-oriented solutions and services with an end-to-end responsibility and ensure consistent master data processes across all digital products. Efficient master data maintenance and high data quality is key for BASF. In the role of a Solution Consultant for substance master data, you will help to define and setup effective and efficient processes for substance master data maintenance and be a contact person for business and IT solutions related questions. You will work closely together with the Process Owner and the DevOps team to implement new solutions. Additionally, you will also play a role in major projects where substance master data will be effected. In the context of "Next Generation Business Architecture" projects you will support the development, design and concept of a new substance master data model that will be implemented in SAP S/4 and any supporting tools. Your tasks include consulting on the usage of EHS, understanding differences of SAP R3/S4 and of current applications. Moreover, you will support the creation and updates of Rules & Guidelines documents that define the allowed usage of materials in the BASF group. Further, you will provide consultation on KPIs as per BASF's own methodology as part of data quality activities. Not least, you will offer consultancy to Operational Divisions, Service Units and Project Management on new requirements regarding global substance master. QUALIFICATIONS degree in chemistry, business informatics, administration, or in a comparable field minimum of 5 years experience with EHS/ substance master data and related supply chain processes (order management, transport management, manufacturing) proficiency in at least one SAP solution handling substance master data good skills in standard SAP customizing possibilities of substance master, familiarity with non-SAP solutions handling substance master data is a plus experience in project management and agile working (e.g., methodology SCRUM, KANBAN) strong analytical thinking and stakeholder management skills, coupled with excellent communication abilities very good English skills, German language skills are a plus BENEFITS Preventive care and fitness offers to promote your health and provide a balance to your work.
