Senior Business Development (BD) Manager The Senior Business Development (BD) Manager serves as a key interface to uncover and cultivate client business opportunities that result in revenue for WuXi AppTec. The BD Manager has a strong understanding of all aspects of the Medical Device business and may assist in the development and training of new Business Development Managers and Business Development Associates. Manage and grow a defined list of accounts, which may be located beyond a specific geography, by presenting WuXi AppTec’s Medical Device Testing services to potential and existing clients. Apply marketing information, CRM information, prospecting, and face-to-face meetings to efficiently identify prospective sales opportunities. Collect and disseminate accurate information from clients to provide timely quotations to secure new projects. Conduct follow-up sales activities post-quotation for the purpose of expediting client decisions. Complete relevant reports and update the Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool in a timely manner. Collaborate with and communicate regularly with Field Services, Project Managers, and the Client Success team to ensure customer expectations are understood and being met. Mentor new BD Managers regarding operations and sales procedures. Provide feedback to the Sales Director on process improvement and sales strategies implementation. May be selected to participate in selected committees as a liaison to the field sales team and provide feedback to the Sales Director. Contribute to the overall sales organization and to the achievement of sales goals. Experience: Experience selling a product or service in the Medical Device or Life Science marketplace. Demonstrated success managing an assigned territory, selling multiple opportunities and projects simultaneously. Qualifications: Chemistry, Biology, etc. Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Travel is required up to 50%, primarily domestic with occasional international travel.
